"Friday the 13th!"
I must have been really busy today, because I made it through the entire day without realizing it was Friday the 13th. I'm not really superstitious, as someone pointed out when I was cluelessly standing underneath a ladder the other day at the local art gallery I just did a website for. Actually, Sierra's best friend's mom is the Executive Director, so it was the least I could do since the girls are friends and the Arts Center is a non-profit.
I just happened to see that Rich wrote a review of Sideways and it's kind of funny...the guy (Jim Taylor) who did the adapted screenplay (and won an Oscar and Golden Globe) is the first cousin of my art gallery friend. Don't worry, I won't tell her about the bad review :-) Actually, he just adapted it, so I guess the negativity isn't really his fault. Haywood bought the movie the day it came out and he said he really liked it and thought my dad and I would love it, since my dad and I go to wine tastings together. Well, my dad hated it and thought it was vulgar (he's traditional and hates bad language in movies) so I don't know if he got past that and I still haven't watched it since with my newly realized Adult A.D.D. I haven't even tried to watch a movie in months because I can't make it through one without falling asleep. An hour seems to be my limit, so TV shows are great, but movies kill me! I would kind of like to see how Sandra Oh is in the movie, since she is also in Grey's Anatomy, which I watch and am still evaluating.
Right now I am studying for a 4 hour exam that I have to take tomorrow morning at 7:30. It's the Virginia Reading Assessment and is one of the requirements for licensure in Elementary Education. I really don't need this right away, but I already paid for it, so I am going to get it over with. I will be so glad when I'm done with these tests. I have learned a lot, though, which is always a good thing.
Okay, I must get back to studying so I can get a few hours of shut eye!
