"Merry Christmas"

Today was a wonderful day. I am so lucky to have such a great family and friends. The gifts and generosity were just amazing. Sierra thoroughly enjoyed her Christmas gifts - she got tons of software this year and it's awesome, because it is very easy to make room for without taking over the entire house! I am afraid that I may never see her again, though :-)

I must proudly announce that I followed in Jean's footsteps from last year and made a standing rib roast for Christmas dinner this year. It was absolutely delicious. I did a lot of research online about which method to use and then I remembered that maybe Jean had detailed her method on her blog - sure enough she had mentioned using the Barefoot Contessa method (500-325-450). I had read a ton of good reviews on that method, but just knowing that an actual friend had used it was enough for me to try it. It turned out fabulously. Everyone raved about it and my dad said he hadn't tasted prime rib that good in years. My parents graciously provided it (they are definitely up there in price!) as well as all the makings of a seafood feast (shrimp, lobster, mussels, oysters, etc.) for Christmas Eve. All in all, a weekend full of culinary delights!

I hope everyone out there had a great day!!! I'll try to get a few pics up soon!
Good night!

"Blogworthy"

I know it has been ages since I have posted, but I just wanted to send out a congratulations to Jean and Harold on the birth of their adorable son, Ollie. Just looking at his pictures makes me want to have another baby immediately!

Happy Holidays...here's to a New Year full of frequent blog updates. :-)

Gotta go, I think it is time for Santa to come!!
