Line01: by this Congress that the Bush Tax Cuts be repealed.
Line02: Section 1: The Bush Tax cuts as reaffirmed by Congress shall

Line04: Section 2:Taxes shall be collected in equal proportion based
Line05: upon one's ability to pay. The wealthiest of Americans will
Line06: no longer be given a tax break for being wealthy.
Line07: Section 3: The estate tax break shall be repealed.
Line08: Section 4: Any estate left at death worth in excess of
Line09: $600,00 shall pay an estate tax of 15% to the federal
Line10: government.
Line11: Section 5: States may now have the right to charge an
Line12: additional estate tax, but it may not exceed five percent of
Line13: the federal estate tax percentage.
Line14: Section 6: With the declining or stagnant economy, this tax
Line15: shall be collected this year. All persons affected may apply
Line16: for an income tax filing extension until June 15 with the
Line17: purpose of filing and paying the necessary taxes owed as a
Line18: result of the repealed Bush tax cuts.
Line19: Section 7: These tax cuts, known as the Bush Tax Cuts and
Line20: reaffirmed by this congress, shall be repealed, effective

Line04: minimum wage increase shall reflect the profit margin of

Line06: Section 1: The minimum wage shall be increased to $8.50
Line07: per hour with additonal monies granted if the company's
Line08: profit margin is such that their ability to pay is greater.
Line09: Section 2: For any company showing a profit of more
Line10: than $3 million per annum, the minimum wage shall be set
Line11: for entry-level employees at $11.50 per hour.
Line12: Section 3: When this minimum wage increase goes into
Line13: effect, all existing employees hourly rates shall be pro-
Line14: rated to reflect the increase and all entry-level employees
Line15: shall be hired at the new rate. This will serve to address
Line16: the inequality of wage earners as they have fallen behind
Line17: in the last three years of economic downturn.
Line18: Section 4: All companies showing a profit in excess of
Line19: $5 million shall be required to provide retirement and
Line20: health insurance benefits for the employee with the option
Line21: of additional family members covered at the employee's
Line22: expense.
Line23: Section 5: The increase in minimum wage shall not be
Line24: affected by costs of benefits like retirement or insurance,
Line25: nor shall the costs of benefits to the company be counted or
Line26: calculated as part of the minimum wage formula.
Line27: Section 6: This law shall go into effect July 1, 2011.

Line03: WHEREAS, the American consumer has watched the car
Line04: industry produce models that are less fuel efficient; and
Line05: WHEREAS, the American consumer has experienced rising gas
Line06: prices to levels never before seen in this country; and
Line07: WHEREAS, many states are forced to levy additional
Line08: gasoline taxes to maintain roads increasing the price of gas
Line09: for the consumer at an even greater rate; and
Line10: WHEREAS, unlike Europe for the most part, America is a
Line11: mobile society with many locales lacking other
Line12: transportation means; and
Line13: WHEREAS, the government has called upon car makers to
Line14: include devices on new models to control carbon emissions
Line15: meeting federal and state standards where the car shall
Line16: retail.
Line17: THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by this Student Congress
Line18: here assembled that a national carbon emissions tax be
Line19: placed on any vehicle that is made which fails to meet or
Line20: maintain the guidelines set forth by federal and state
Line21: commercial standards to control carbon emissions and
Line22: pollutants.
Line23: BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT this tax must be
Line24: paid by the Automobile Industry and maybe not under
Line25: federal criminal and civil penalties be passed on to the

Line01: WHEREAS, in May, 2007, Pakistan and China signed twenty-
Line02: seven new agreements and memoranda re-energizing the
Line03: bilateral cooperation in the areas of defense, space
Line04: technology, and trade;
Line05: WHEREAS, the agreements between Pakistan and China may renew
Line06: an alliance that may include additional testing of nuclear
Line07: weapons;
Line08: WHEREAS, this agreement opened the new major port at
Line09: Gwadar, financed by China, for the supposed purpose of
Line10: opening a major commercial outlet for China to Central Asia,
Line11: yet most consider it a port that may be used for military
Line12: purposes;
Line13: WHEREAS, Pakistan has failed to rebuke China for their
Line14: treatment and domination of Tibet and for the civil rights
Line15: abuses of the Chinese people by the Communist regime;
Line16: WHEREAS, Pakistan and Indian relations are "shaky"
Line17: at best, and with China's naval presence in the Indian
Line18: Ocean only serves to antagonize that dubious relationship;
Line19: WHEREAS, Pakistan continues to allow Al Qaeda and
Line20: other terrorist to reside within its borders;
