Line20: elected by the UN's Genral Assembly to approve the call to

Line23: in danger and to possibly avoid a violent conflict in which
Line24: would result in great loss of life; Also UN soldiers are
Line25: trained to a suffocate level and are always well equipped an

Line12: possible soldiers, but also to be completely ineffective.
Line13: Over one hundred army veterans have called for a repeal of
Line14: this policy, and approximately 4,000 soldiers have been
Line15: dismissed from service based solely on their sexuality.

Line04: Section 1: The US shall set aside twenty-five million
Line05: dollars to fund the research of Biotech companies who are in
Line06: the process of developing plants resistant to pests, herbi-
Line07: cides, drought, salinity, and disease that now run rampant
Line08: in Africa.
Line09: Section 2: The Biotech companies will receive this grant
Line10: for a total of five yers provided each year a report is
Line11: filed with the Department of Agriculture showing the com-
Line12: pany's progress and successful marketing of plants
Line13: genetically engineered as a result of the experimentation.
Line14: Section 3: Any company failing to show progress or file the
Line15: report with the department will no longer receive future
Line16: grants and will be asked to repay to the federal gov't 80%
Line17: of the awarded grant monies.
Line18: Section 4: Given the fact that poverty and hunger are huge
Line19: stumbling blocks facing the governments of Africa and any
Line20: UN peacekeeping presence in Africa, the foods manufactured
Line21: through genetic engineering shall go to combat the poverty
Line22: and hunger in these nations. Once these social inequalities
Line23: and inefficiencies are addressed, UN Peacekeeping efforts
Line24: will have a greater chance for success.
Line25: Section 5: The remaining crop yield shall be sold at mini-
Line26: mal cost to federal and state prisons.
Line27: Section 6: This bill will go into effect on July 1, 2010,
Line28: with the first grant awarded thereafter and the first foods

Line01: WHEREAS, it has been Virginia's policy since the term of Gov
Line02: Wilder, Virginia should maintain the one handgun purchase
Line03: policy in the Commonwealth.
Line04: WHEREAS, opponents to the bill maintain that the law's
Line05: usefulness has been depleted, the safety of the citizens of
Line06: the Commonwealth must not be traded for the will of the

Line08: WHEREAS, those who wish to see the repeal of the law
Line09: maintain that gun owners are responsible and should have
Line10: the right to own as many guns as he or she wishes is not in
Line11: question.
Line12: WHEREAS, the right of ownership is guaranteed under most
Line13: interpretations of the Second Amendment to the United States
Line14: Constitution; however, the number one can purchase within a
Line15: given period of time is not guaranteed and should be set by
Line16: individual states.

Line01: WHEREAS in May, 2007, Pakistan and China signed twenty-seven
Line02: new agreements and memoranda re-energizing the bilateral

Line05: WHEREAS, the agreements between Pakistan and China may
Line06: renew an alliance that may include additional testing of
Line07: nuclear weapons;
Line08: WHEREAS, this agreement opened the new major port at Gwadar,
Line09: financed by China, for the supposed purpose of opening a
Line10: major commercial outlet for China to Central Asia, yet most
Line11: consider it a port that may be used for military purposes;
Line12: WHEREAS, Pakistan has failed to rebuke China for their
Line13: treatment and domination of Tibet and for the civil rights
Line14: abuses of the Chinese people by the Communist regime;
Line15: WHEREAS, Pakistan and Indian relations are "shaky" at best,
Line16: and with China's naval presence in the Indian Ocean only
Line17: serves to antagonize that dubious relationship;
Line18: WHEREAS, Pakistan continues to allow Al Qaeda and other
Line19: terrorist to reside within its borders;
Line20: WHEREAS, Pakistan has failed to act responsibly to take
Line21: steps to rid its borders of training camps for Al Qaeda
Line22: operatives;
Line23: WHEREAS, Pakistan has provided monies for the defense of Dr.
Line24: Aafia Siddiqui, a Pakistani Muslim neuroscientist and Al
Line25: Qaeda operative who attacked United States soldiers in
Line26: Afghanistan, yet claims to partner in her prosecution; and
Line27: WHEREAS, Pakistan's involvement with China may deter the
Line28: anti-terrorist alliance with the United States;
Line29: BE IT RESOLVED, by this student congress here assembled that
Line30: the United States take steps to call for negotiations with
Line31: Pakistan's new goernment to reaffirm its role and commitment
Line32: to rooting out refugeed terrorists, commitment ot the
Line33: civil rights of all people even in China, and promote a
Line34: further commitment to ousting all Islamic extremists and
Line35: extremist groups.

Line01: by this student congress here assembled that Medicare
Line02: coverage be offered to all unemployed persons over forty
Line03: (40) years of age and not yet sixty-two (62) years of age
Line04: provided they meet certain qualificatons.
Line05: Section 1: All Medicare coverage shall be extended to all
Line06: unemployed persons at age 40-61 who live at or below the
Line07: national poverty level and have been unemployed for at least
Line08: six months and show proof of no other medical insurance.
Line09: Section 2: These Medicare benefits shall be extended to
Line10: one's spouse or children providing the family member(s) is/
Line11: are living at home and have no other insurance.
Line12: Section 3: All who receive this unemployment Medicare
Line13: coverage shall be eligible for Medicaid coverage and the
Line14: federal prescription drug plan provided their or their
Line15: family's income is at or below the national poverty level
Line16: as a result of their unemployed status.
Line17: Section 4: All those who are eligible for Medicare/
Line18: Medicade coverage shall receive all medicines for $1 per
Line19: prescription out-of-pocket expense, doctor's office visits
Line20: at $5 out-of-pocket expense, and free hospitalization.
Line21: Section 5: All costs other than out-of-pocket expenses
Line22: shall be the responsibility of government through the
Line23: Social Security Administration.
Line24: Section 6: This coverage shall be effectual for no more
